Gina’s #1 goal as a hair stylist and color specialist is to make her clients happy while improving the health of their hair. Gina prides herself on listening to the needs of her clients. Communication is key; as long as a client is willing to explain what they want, Gina is more than willing to listen and do her very best to deliver the desired results. Whether it’s cutting, coloring, perming or facial waxing, Gina will do her best to carry out her client’s vision, using the healthiest methods possible.
Gina has been a hair stylist since 2003. She graduated from the Monterey Bay Beauty College and went on to train under one of the peninsula’s most renowned color specialists. During this time, Gina was able to pick up many “tricks of the trade” that would normally have taken years of experience to acquire. She was also simultaneously learning how to manage and operate a successful salon.
Gina always wanted to work with Ammonia Free color and was fortunate to be educated from the very beginning of her career with Farouk System’s BioGlitz Creme Color, which was later re-formulated as Chi Ionic Permanent Shine Color. When a colorist focuses their education on a specific color line, they are able to achieve the best results possible. Because of this, Gina is an expert at multiple-color processes and color corrections. Gina’s love for color shines through in each and every color process she does.
After only a few years of booth rental, Gina opened her very own hair studio near the heart of Old Monterey, which enables her to focus all of her attention on her clients. Gina has created a cozy atmosphere that leaves her clients feeling relaxed and serene. It makes for the perfect setting to allow Gina to carry out her goal of making her clients feel and look great, while also improving the health of their hair.
